8th CPD: "Diabetic Foot Care" Workshop

The National Diabetes Institute (NADI) will be organising a one-day pre-conference workshop entitled 'Diabetic Foot Care.' Topics that will be covered include:
- Epidemiology of amputations and ulcers in people with diabetes in Malaysia
- Screening for 'feet at risk'
- Charcot's joint - recognising structural deformity and limited mobility
- Treatment of painful diabetic neuropathy
- Role of Human Derived Epidermal Growth Factors in management of diabetic foot ulcers
- Prosthetic limbs: what is available (and affordable)
- Modification of footware to prevent ulcerations
- Prevention of ulcers and amputations - Evidence-based Do's and Don'ts
The workshop is part of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) series.
