Three Policy briefs were launched on 18 September 2011 in New York during the Global Diabetes Symposium at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, on the eve of the UN High-Level Meeting on the Prevention and Control of NCDs.
This series of Policy Briefs touches on important and emerging diabetes issues: diabetes and pregnancy; the early origins of diabetes and the global health and development challenge posed by diabetes. With these publications, the International Diabetes Federation ensures diabetes remains visible on the NCD agenda and that IDF is seen as a leader in both advocacy and action.
