Chris Delicata
Chris J. Delicata from Malta is currently Chair of the International Diabetes Federation Europe Region (IDF Europe). He has been a member of the IDF Europe Board since 2003, serving as Vice-President, Treasurer, and spokersperson on discrimination issues. As Regional Chair, Mr. Delicata also sits on the Executive Board of the International Diabetes Federation.
Mr. Delicata is an Insurance Practitioner by profession and is currently employed as a Senior Manager with one of the leading insurance companies in Malta.
He has been actively involved in the Maltese Diabetes Association since 2001 and is currently Vice-President of the Association. His eldest son Jack was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 1999 when he was just one year. This difficult episode in his life encouraged him to work wholeheartedly for diabetes. He is a firm believer in the rights of people with diabetes and takes a keen and active role in matters relating to discrimination, insurance, juvenile diabetes, political affairs, diabetes in deprived countries and other related matters.
