History was made in Germany recently when a number of people, including German Young Leader Jan Twachtmann, founded a new patient organisation in Berlin called Deutsche Diabetes-Hilfe.
Jan (Left of the sign in the picture) has been elected as President of the organisation. He hopes "the new organisation will unite all diabetes patients and facilitate the cooperation between patients, doctors and nurses".
The new organisation will act as a subsidiary of the International Diabetes Federation's existing German Member Association, Diabetesde.
