With the World Diabetes Congress fast approaching, the Young Leaders in Diabetes (YLD) programme is recruiting fresh talents from around the diabetes world.
IDF Member Associations are invited to submit applications, selecting one or two participants from their country. A final selection of new YLD candidates will be made in advance of the YLD leadership training workshop and the World Diabetes Congress in Melbourne in December 2013.
New recruits will be invited to Melbourne, where Congress entry and accommodation costs will all be covered. Travel costs will remain an individual responsibility.
Criteria for selection are based on the following:
- Diagnosed with diabetes (type 1 or type 2)
- Age of majority within the country of origin and up to 30 years of age
- Letter of referral from an IDF Member Association
The deadline to apply is April 1, 2013.
