This is the first World Diabetes Congress to be organised in the Middle East and North Africa Region - a region which is enormously affected by diabetes. The International Diabetes Federation aims to consolidate the direction of previous congresses and push boundaries to enhance the lives of people with diabetes.
The Programme Committee aspires to create a wide-ranging programme covering all aspects of the diabetes field. The five programme streams for the congress are: Clinical and Basic Science, Education and Integrated Care, Global Challenges in Health, Health Systems and Epidemiology, and Life with Diabetes.
