The second Global Diabetes Summit will take place November 14-17, 2012. This event will once again be sponsored by Ohio State University Medical Center’s Diabetes Research Center and will follow the theme “New Horizons in Diabetes: Genetics to Personalized Health Care.” It will bring international diabetes experts together to present the latest seminal outcomes in diabetes research and formulate an interdisciplinary road map for prevention of diabetes, as well as detection and treatment of diabetes.

Diabetes disease has been so serious in developed countries but now is also becoming serious in developing countries especially in Uganda,we have an organization in which am a co-founder in which we have started serious campaigns and advocacy against diseases brought about feeding on un health and nutritions food and any other similar diseases, Am interested to attend that meeting to find out and learn more what are the scientist researchers have come out with in their research finding and recommendations but I can not facilitate my self to attend.Is there any possibility of obtaining a scholarship for me from the organiser for me to attend.

Unfortunately, we do not have the funding to offer travel or registration scholarships. We recommend you contact local pharmaceutical reps to see if they may be able to sponsor you. I have been told that Novo Nordisk has made these available to people especially in the area of Diabetes.
