Dhruba Lall Singh

Dr Dhruba Lall Singh is currently Chair of the South East Asian (SEA) region of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF). He is the Visiting Professor of Medicines at the National Academy of Medical Science in Kathmandu and President of the Nepal Diabetes Association. In the past, Dr Singh has worked as a Senior House Officer and Registrar of internal medicine and paediatrics at various hospitals in the United Kingdom and served as the senior consultant physician for the Bir Hospital of Kathmandu.

Dr Singh continues to run a free diabetes clinic through the Nepal Diabetes Association, as well as conducting seminars promoting diabetes awareness and prevention. He regularly publishes articles on diabetes in local, national and international medical publications.

Dr Singh has worked extensively in the field of diabetes research and has been awarded with the Mahendra Vidhya Bhusan, Sewa Padak and Gorkha Dakshin Bahu Medals for his efforts. He has attained various academic qualifications from a range of educational institutions including the Bihar University of India and both the Glasgow and Edinburgh Universities of Scotland.
