IDF welcomes new Blue Circle Champion

IDF is delighted to introduce its newest Blue Circle Champion, Chef Sam Talbot.

Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 12, Sam’s ultimate mission is to help anyone learn to live with diabetes.

Sam is author of ‘The Sweet Life: Diabetes without Boundaries’, a 75-recipe volume that includes tips for living with diabetes.

Speaking to IDF about his diabetes, Talbot said ‘diabetes has helped mould me as a person. I am who I am today because of diabetes, and frankly, I would not want to have it any other way’.

As a well-known chef and a Blue Circle Champion, Sam Talbot serves as an influential leader for adults, teens and children. His passion and knowledge of food and the importance eating healthy to prevent and manage diabetes will inspire others.

IDF Blue Circle Champions are high profile individuals who have been touched by diabetes in one way or another. We look to our Champions to inspire the over 366 million people living with diabetes today and bring awareness to this silent killer. The full list of IDF’s Blue Circle Champions can be found here.
