The Latin America Congress on Controversies to Consensus in Diabetes, Obesity and Hypertension (CODHy)
The 1st Latin America Congress on Controversies to Consensus in Diabetes, Obesity and Hypertension (CODHy) will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, March 11-14, 2010.
The 1st and 2nd World CODHy Congresses that took place in Berlin in 2006 and in Barcelona in 2008, attracted over 4,500 physicians. CODHy congresses are the first scientific meetings of their kind, focusing on dynamic topics and controversial issues facing the clinicians today.
Based on the success of these meetings, and on feedback from participants, the CODHy-Latin America Congress will be devoted to evidence-based discussions amongst chairpersons, speakers and the audience, all of whom will examine and analyze the most relevant issues and several of the large ongoing clinical studies that are scheduled to end during 2009-2010.
The Latin America Congress will be more locally oriented. It will focus on typical/classical diabetes issues related to the region in terms of epidemiology, genetics, diagnostics, typical complications and distinctive responses to treatments.
This Congress will provide a broader stage for oral presentations from the regional population. Central debates on the various relevant issues will also be translated into the local regional language (Spanish and Portuguese), thereby providing most of the professionals with a better understanding of the topics.
