Life for a Child support

Commenced support: 2011

The “Insulin my Life” project was officially launched in February 2010, under the direction of Professor Yakoob Ahmedani, Professor of Medicine at Baqai Medical University in Karachi. The group works in close collaboration with the Diabetic Association of Pakistan who partner in the project. LFAC is pleased to support 400 children and youth through this ambitious and extremely organised initiative, providing:

  • HbA1c machines for 5 key locations (Karachi *2, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Sehwan) and 2 test cartridges/patient/year
  • Blood glucose strips, purchased locally
