LFAC holds review and strategy meeting at ADA Scientific Sessions

The IDF Life for a Child Programme's annual Review and Strategy meeting, held in conjunction with the American Diabetes Association's (ADA) 74th Scientific Sessions in San Francisco (June 12-16), was this year attended by over 70 advocates, programme partners, major contributors and other supporters.

LFAC General Manager, Dr Graham Ogle, and Education Manager Angie Middlehurst, delivered a detailed update on the ever-expanding programme which is now supporting almost 14,000 young people with diabetes in 46 countries. The review delved into current activities such as mentoring and health professional training, research initiatives, education projects, and diabetes camps. In addition, representatives from and mentors to Life for a Child partner centres in Bangladesh, Bolivia, Ecuador, Guyana, and Haiti, briefed the group on the impact, progress and obstacles faced by the programme in their respective countries.

During the Scientific Sessions, Graham and Angie also held over 15 side meetings with various countries and programme supporters.
