Invincible House champions Life for a Child

In January 2013, the IDF Life for a Child Programme was contacted by Tom Etheridge, an 18 year-old with diabetes studying at Maidstone Grammar School in Kent, United Kingdom (UK). Tom is Captain of the school’s Invincible House, which comprises around 200 pupils aged 11-18. They used their house charity day to raise over £700 for Life for a Child. These funds will be used by the Programme to expand its multi-faceted support of children and youth with diabetes in developing countries.

A cheque for the donation was presented to Alex Silverstein (on the right in the picture), President of the IDF Young Leaders in Diabetes, during an assembly in late February.

Life for a Child would like to thank Tom and his fellow students for their efforts and generous support of the Programme.
