See NCD Art in the Making!
Come to the New York Academy of Medicine Sunday 18 September from 1pm to 5 pm to see a live mural emerge from the pure creative talent of ten NCD artists working together for the first time on a unique piece of art to raise awareness for the UN Summit on NCD Prevention and Control. Their talents span from found object art to computer art to collage. Watch them hang together and express their feelings about non-communicable diseases.
The ten NCD artists are:

Mary Welch Higgins (CVD)
Akeem Jamaal (bipolar disorder)

Kei Okada (hospice care)
Zoey Stevens (diabetes)
Lee Ann Thill (diabetes)

Children willl be able to participate in creating their own mini-mural under the watchful eye and guidance of art therapists (Stephanie Koszarek, Margaret (Megan) Mitchell, Sakinah Northern ).
