Azerbaijan hosts ISPAD workshop on diabetes in children

The Endocrine Centre in Baku, Azerbaijan - – Life for a Child’s partner centre in the country - recently hosted a workshop run by the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD) and facilitated by the IDF Life for a Child Programme.

MDGs: 1000 days to give a 1000%

April 5, 2013, marks the 1000-day milestone towards the UN’s Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The MDGs are the most successful global anti-poverty push in history and comprise of 8 concrete goals aimed at eradicating extreme poverty and deprivation.

To date significant progress has been made across many of the MDGs. However, global trends have created challenges to reaching these goals.
