Our Partners and Allies
The NCD Alliance: IDF formed the NCD Alliance in 2009 with our three sister federations – the Union for International Cancer Control, World Heart Federation and the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease. We came together to fill a political niche for collaboration and joint advocacy on NCDs. In March 2011, the NCD Alliance and IDF released a report on NCDs and women’s health as a development issue, and continue to work together on the topic.
The Partnership for Maternal Newborn and Child Health (PMNCH): The Partnership joins the reproductive, maternal, new-born and child health communities into an alliance of more than 450 members. It enables partners to share strategies, align objectives and resources, and agree on common interventions. PMNCH catalyses collective action to achieve universal access to comprehensive, high-quality reproductive, maternal, new-born and child health care.
The UN Every Woman Every Child (EWEC) initiative: The Every Woman Every Child initiative is a global movement that mobilizes and intensifies international and national action by governments, multilaterals, the private sector and civil society to address the major health challenges facing women and children worldwide. IDF made a commitment to the EWEC initiative to advance recognition of and response to diabetes and women’s health.
