Abdul Basit is Professor of Medicine at Baqai Medical University, Karachi, Pakistan. He is Director of the Baqai Institute of Diabetology and Endocrinology (IDF Centre of Education) also in Karachi, and country representative for the International Working Group on the Diabetic Foot.
