Excellence in Diabetes 2013, Istanbul, 6-7 February 2013 is entitled: “Interdisciplinary approaches: from prevention to cure”.  It is organised in cooperation with the Oxford Health Alliance, Oxford, UK and the scientific programme led by Chairman Prof. David Matthews, Professor of Diabetes Medicine, Emeritus Chairman, Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism (OCDEM). Vice-Principal, Harris Manchester College, Oxford, UK. 

An outstanding faculty will be reporting on the impact of diabetes on the health and well being of the individual, and the community at large.  In addition to discussing the latest innovations in therapeutics, key topic will be prevention and new insights into effective global diabetes management.  The Community Interventions for Health Summit taking place on day 2, will address health promotion in lower and middle income countries.
