The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) is the global advocate for the over 382 million people with diabetes worldwide. It represents over 230 national diabetes associations in 170 countries and territories. Our mission is to promote diabetes care, prevention and a cure worldwide. The International Diabetes Federation is an NGO in official relations with the World Health Organization and the Pan-American Health Organization. We are also an associated NGO with the United Nations Department of Public Information. The International Diabetes Federation leads the World Diabetes Day campaign.

The IDF Intern Programme gives graduate students the opportunity to obtain training and exposure to IDFs work in the field of diabetes and non-communicable diseases. All intern posts are based at the Federation’s Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. The Programme is open exclusively to citizens of the European Union.
