The International Diabetes Federation's Life for a Child Programme continues to go from strength to strength. In 2011, another seven countries joined the programme with increasing numbers of young people receiving vital insulin, syringes and monitoring supplies. Important progress was also made in developing online educational resources and building the knowledge base that will help strengthen the response to the diabetes epidemic.
The Life for a Child Annual Report 2011 highlights these achievements and the ongoing development of the programme, which is providing a lifeline for children with diabetes in developing countries.
