The International Diabetes Federation offers two types of corporate partnerships:
- Global partners are engaged in multi-year, strategic partnerships. In addition to IDF core activities, they also support tailored specific diabetes programmes.
- Corporate supporters actively contribute to IDF's work and activities to promote diabetes care, prevention and a cure worldwide. They also participate in joint efforts to strengthen global awareness and advocacy efforts.
Our partnerships are unique with tailored platforms to address the individual needs and mission of each partner. Together, we design the best possible partnership that will leverage your assets and resources to address your corporate social responsibility objectives and make a difference in the lives of people with diabetes.
Please consider the following opportunities as a starting outline:
Join the IDF Corporate Partnership Programme – become an Official Partner of World Diabetes Day
Our Corporate Partnership Programme is the starting point of all relationships with IDF. Through this Programme, our partners support IDF’s global leading role in advocacy and policy, as well as the World Diabetes Day campaign, the world’s largest diabetes awareness campaign reaching a global audience of over one billion people in more than 160 countries. The campaign draws attention to issues of paramount importance to the diabetes world and keeps diabetes firmly in the public spotlight. World Diabetes Day is an official United Nations World Day which is celebrated every year on 14 November. It involves millions of people worldwide in diabetes advocacy and awareness efforts.
As an “Official Partner of World Diabetes Day”, you become part of a global grassroots campaign. It is a unique platform that allows you to engage your employees and your communities in local efforts which ultimately transcend borders to drive a worldwide increase in diabetes awareness.
Support IDF’s Humanitarian Programme: Life for a Child
IDF’s Life for a Child Programme is a fast-growing international programme providing vital care for over 8,000 children with diabetes in 37 developing countries around the world.
Through your contribution to “Life for a Child”, you support the children’s immediate needs (such as insulin, syringes, needles, blood glucose monitoring material, training, education and appropriate medical care) which will enable them to survive and improve their quality of life. In addition, you help us further expand this life-saving programme in the years to come to reach the thousands of poor children in need of essential medicines.
Participate in the IDF World Diabetes Congress
The IDF World Diabetes Congress is held every two years and gathers an average of 15,000 participants. The Congress combines high-level science with informative sessions to help member associations influence policy and increase public awareness. The next World Diabetes Congress will be held at the Melbourne Congress and Exhibition Centre, Melbourne, Australia from 2 to 6 December 2013.
There is a range of options available for participation in the World Diabetes Congress (from exhibition space and satellite symposia to sponsorship items), allowing you to reach the right audience and maximize your visibility and exposure during the entire event and its follow-up.
