International Health Agenda
Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs), including diabetes, have finally been recognised as one of the top global risks, in terms of likelihood and potential economic loss. The UN High Level Meeting from 19-20 September represents the opportunity for governments, the private sector, and civil society to convene and map out a response to the global NCD epidemic. With the right preparation, the Meeting will be a catalyst for major change at the global level, leading to firm commitments from all sides.
The World Diabetes Congress will continue the momentum from the September Meeting and will take into account outcomes and implementation requirements for governments and international organizations.
