IDF Europe is involved in several advocacy activities by its self or in coalition with other European organizations. The advocacy targets are the European Parliament, the Council of Europe, the Interparliamentary Assembly and WHO Europe. In the same time IDF Europe offers its support to the member organizations lobbying or advocating their governmnets.Some of the activities and results are presented here below:

Advocacy by an individual or by an advocacy group aim to influence public-policy and resource allocation decisions within political, economic, and social systems and institutions; it may be motivated from moral, ethical or faith principles or simply to protect an asset of interest. Advocacy can include many activities that a person or organization undertakes including media campaigns, public speaking, commissioning and publishing research or poll or the 'filing of friend of the court briefs'. 


IDF Europe contributes on a regular basis to the European Parliament Diabetes Working Group and lobbies for raising diabetes on the agenda of the European Parliament. It also increases the awareness of the members of the EU Parliament on the issues related to diabetes.
