Objectives:

In Denmark, diabetes type 2 (DM2) and oral diseases, defined as lifestyle diseases, are major public health concerns with an increasing burden among adults. Poor oral health negatively contributes to glycemic control, whereas poor DM2 management negatively affects oral health. We aim to design and evaluate a new behavioural intervention based on oral health coaching for better management of oral health and DM2 among adults, using self-reported and clinical measurements.
