Healthy lifestyles: nutrition and physical activity for children and young people at schools

Under its Presidency of the European Union, Latvia will host a high-level conference on Healthy Lifestyles in Riga on 22 and 23 February 2015.

The event will bring together high-level experts and officials in the fields of public health, nutrition, sport and other sectors related to healthy lifestyle promotion. The aim of the conference is to assess progress in implementing strategic documents on nutrition and physical activity in the EU Member States and to discuss the future challenges.

IDF Europe marked World Diabetes Day 2014 by hosting a Diabetes Awareness Week from 3 to 7 November in the European Parliament in Brussels, together with the support of Marisa Matias MEP.
