The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) is an umbrella organization of over 230 national diabetes associations in over 170 countries. It represents the interests of the growing number of people with diabetes and those at risk. The Federation has been leading the global diabetes community since 1950. IDF’s mission is to promote diabetes care, prevention and a cure worldwide.
The Project Data Administrator will work full-time (38 hours per week) in the IDF Policy and Programmes Department, and report to the Project Manager, who in turn reports to the Director of Policy and Programmes.
Concerned about the escalating prevalence of diabetes in the Philippines and realizing the need to address the issues related to the disease, Prof. Augusto D. Litonjua, the Philippines’ foremost endocrinologist, and a group of dedicated doctors banded together in October 1990, and along with other diabetes lay crusaders, established the Philippine Center for Diabetes Education Foundation (PCDEF).
