Why Vancouver?

In 2015, the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) brings the World Diabetes Congress (WDC) to Vancouver, Canada. In the home-country of Frederick Banting, co-discoverer of insulin, experts in diabetes care from around the world will exchange diabetes research and best practices. IDF estimates that 10 per cent of Canadians have diabetes. Furthermore, one in five children with type 1 diabetes lives in the North America and Caribbean region.
