NCD ARTISTS UNITE ON SEPTEMBER 18
TO INCREASE AWARENESS OF THE WORLD’S LEADING KILLERS

Ten leading NCD artists to create historic giant mural expressing their personal fight against Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs)
 

WHAT:         On the eve of the UN Summit on the Prevention and Control of NCDs, the NCD Alliance will hold a “UNite for a Healthy Future” rally.

At this event, ten leading NCD artists will gather at the New York Academy of Medicine to create individual murals expressing their personal fight against NCDs, be it diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular or chronic respiratory disease. A special children’s mural will also be available for young artists to paint, create and assemble their own art with guidance of on-site art therapists.
 

Over 35 million people die of Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs) every year, accounting for 60% of all global deaths.
 

The afternoon rally and activities, starting at 1pm, will bring together different NCD organizations and include advocates, families, local communities and the general public.
“UNite for a Healthy Future” is free and open to the public. People of all ages and abilities are invited to participate.
