The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) is the global advocate for the 415 million people with diabetes worldwide. It represents over 230 national diabetes associations in 170 countries and territories. Our mission is to promote diabetes care, prevention and a cure worldwide. The International Diabetes Federation is an NGO in official relations with the World Health Organization and the Pan-American Health Organization. We are also an associated NGO with the United Nations Department of Public Information. The International Diabetes Federation leads the World Diabetes Day campaign.

Internship Policy and Programmes
The IDF Intern Programme gives graduate students the opportunity to obtain training and exposure to IDFs work in the field of diabetes and non-communicable diseases. All intern posts are based at the Federation’s Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. The Programme is open to citizens of the European Union as well as others who have right to live and work in Belgium without a work permit.
The Policy and Programmes team is a team of highly motivated and skilled individuals who develop, guide, implement and evaluate projects for healthcare professionals and people with diabetes. The team is seeking motivated interns to work with them in the development of new proposals and support existing projects in care, education, epidemiology and public health.
