Association spotlight

The Argentinian Society of Diabetes is excited to attend the IDF Congress in Dubai this year. Our main goal is to share our knowledge on early diagnosis and treatment. As a scientific society, we try to collaborate as much as possible with doctors, nurses, dietologists and patients. We offer them specific education programmes to improve their knowledge on diabetes.

The Argentinean Society of Diabetes has organised eight programmes:

  • Diabetes specialization course Intensive diabetes updating for foreign physicians course Practical approach for diabetes nutrition therapy course Diabetes empowerment for physicians for their first contact with people with diabetes course Certified diabetes educator course Diabetic foot empowerment course Diabetes biochemistry course Diabetes empowerment for nurses course.
  • We  also work very closely with the Minister of Public Health; cooperating with our authorities to write national guidelines and consensus documents in order to improve the care and assistance of people with diabetes and the associated comorbidities, such as, obesity, hypertension, and dyslipidaemia.
  • We believe that our participation at the World Diabetes Congress will be an interesting and positive experience for us, to learn from other communities around the world on how to improve our management of this prevalent disease.
