The Cayman Islands is a group of three islands - Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman - located in the Caribbean and officially a British Overseas Territory (under UK jurisdiction). The Islands are a well-known tourist destination which features a tropical, marine climate.

Type of support: In collaboration with CIDA, Life for a Child assists in the care of 20 children and youth with diabetes. The Government Health system does not provides support for people with diabetes, so LFAC supplies technical assistance, and recently donated 1 DCA Vantage machine plus control cartridges and reagent kits for use in the care of children and youth with diabetes.  The Government has agreed to provide ongoing support for the HbA1c machines.  Quality diabetes education materials (books, DVDs) and health professional training have also been provided.
