Life for a Child Support

Commenced 2007

We began assisting 42 children cared for by hospitals in the capital Tashkent in 2007, with insulin being provided through Insulin for Life, and visual blood glucose strips purchased locally. The support has grown, with 15 now also helped in Samarkand, and 40 in the troubled Andijan region.

The regular insulin and monitoring has led to marked improvements in quality of life, with children now being well, avoiding dangerous episodes of diabetic ketoacidosis, and able to focus on their schooling.
