The scientific programme of the IDF 2017 Congress took place over 4 days and delivered worldwide diabetes expertise through varied and innovative sessions. It consisted of over 160 hours of sessions featuring 330 high-level speakers.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
The deadline for abstract submission was 21 April 2017. Selection results have now been sent out.
The deadline for late-breaking abstract submission was 28 July 2017. Selection results will be sent out early September.

IDF CONGRESS GRANT
IDF offers young abstract authors the chance to attend the congress. The online grant submission closed on 28 April 2017. Results will be available by mid-August.
CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION (CME)
Applications for Continuing Medical Education (CME) accreditation for physicians and other healthcare professionals will be presented to the national accreditation body and the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME). EACCME credits are recognised by the American Medical Association towards the Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA). It is expected that the IDF Congress 2017 will be accredited with between 20 and 22 hours of CME credits. CME certificates will be available to print in the registration area and online as of Thursday 7 December 2017.
The IDF 2017 programme is being developed by a committee of international experts led by Professor Nam Cho.

International Diabetes Epidemiology Group
The meeting will address the key issues in understanding the epidemiology of diabetes. It will cover descriptive and analytic epidemiology, aiming to understand both the burden and etiology of both type type 1 and type 2 diabetes. View flyer - View website.
