The IDF Africa Region (AFR) includes 48 diverse sub-Saharan countries and territories and currently represents 34 diabetes organisations in 29 countries.

According to the IDF Diabetes Atlas 9th Edition, an estimated 19.4 million adults aged 20-79 years were living with diabetes in the IDF Africa Region in 2019, representing a regional prevalence of 3.9%. Africa is the Region with the highest proportion of undiagnosed diabetes, with 60% of adults currently living with diabetes unaware of their condition. 

The elected IDF Representatives for the Africa Region for 2020-21 are:
