My focus is attention to those who are already living with diabetes. My priorities are:
-to strengthen the diabetes movement in Europe through the development of Members via improved collaboration and communication;
-to ensure access to adequate diabetes care through the availability of essential medicines and drugs price reduction;
-campaigning for systemic change, which will bring about a lasting change;
-fighting discrimination through the promotion of an active and healthy lifestyle with projects such as DIAEURO;
-to make IDF better known through pharmacies, a very strong vehicle for improving public health;
-to strengthen Members’ Youth movement through activities with young volunteers.
I am sure that over the next two years we will further establish our Region as an effective defender of the interests of people with diabetes across Europe. Interactions between the Board and Members will strengthen the work of both institutions, as will interactions between Members, Governments and the general public.
