The voices of people with lived experience of diabetes

Benter Koech (Kenya)

Being a BCV advocate lets me collaborate with diverse stakeholders — healthcare professionals, educators and people living with diabetes — to develop and implement effective strategies to address the challenges diabetes poses. By making technology accessible and affordable to people with diabetes worldwide can ultimately improve diabetes outcomes on a global scale.

Joseph Matthew Sanchez (The Philippines)

I want to use this opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives, specifically, using social media to build awareness about diabetes risks and symptoms and how to prevent the condition through healthy lifestyle choices

Khushi Ahuja (India)

My drive for diabetes advocacy knows no bounds. From organising awareness-raising campaigns to global action days to facilitating diabetes camps, I am always on the go. Joining the BCV network allows me to bring forward the issues people in my community face and join hands internationally to build comprehensive and effective practices to improve the lives of people with diabetes and prevent diabetes in those at risk
