Mercy Nnabude - Nigeria

Diabetes_Aid aims at providing support to young people with diabetes in the region. This includes educating young people and raising awareness of diabetes through health talks, free blood tests and physical activity sessions in schools, as well as through social media platforms.

Since the beginning of the project, Mercy has carried out several activities such as school talks, during which she educated children on diabetes through her personal experience. In the same schools, she also conducted physical activities, insisting on the fact that exercise is important for everyone, living with diabetes or not.

For the future of the programme, Mercy is working on getting funding through sponsors; she also wishes to launch a social media awareness campaign to create more visibility for her future activities.
