WDD Treasure Hunt launched

As World Diabetes Day (WDD) is approaching  fast, we have decided to give away 3 WDD packs every week until 14 November. You need to look for the ‘flashing’ smiley blue circle on our website. The first 3 people who find it will win a WDD pack. A tip will be shared on our Facebook page, so make sure to like our page to be one of our winners!

World Diabetes Day Bookcrossing Release Challenge

Planned annual release between 7 and 14 November of books throughout the world bearing unique tracking code (BCID) which allows the finder to track, and follow a book's journey though its life. BookCrossers are a global community, happy to share their books by giving them to others, or leaving them where they can be found. This 'challenge' is to help raise awareness of diabetes and to encourage support groups to become involved.

Take your blue circle selfie!

The blue circle is the global symbol for diabetes but to many people around the world it still means nothing. One of the aims of World Diabetes Day is to increase awareness of the symbol and strengthen its role as a means of bringing diabetes to the attention of the general public and supporting all efforts to improve the lives of people living with diabetes and reduce the serious global threat that the epidemic represents.
