IDF is looking to hire a full-time Content Editor to join our Communications team. The Content Editor will be working from home so no need to be located in Belgium.
The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) is an alliance of over 230 national diabetes associations with two million members in more than 164 countries and territories, IDF has been at the vanguard of global diabetes advocacy for over 50 years.
Purpose of the role
The primary role of the IDF Content Editor is to help generate and deliver content to support IDF campaigns, enhance the IDF brand and promote IDF activities. The role will include content creation, editing, proofreading, synthetising and summarising various reports, articles, proposals etc. You will deliver content that sticks.
Key responsibilities and activities
Create, curate and help distribute content to serve organisational goals and engage IDF’s audiences
Proofread and edit existing content (newsletters, articles in health and non-health media, online content etc.)
Research, develop, commission and edit new content for IDF online platforms
Review IDF external deliverables (reports, publications, newsletters etc.) to ensure consistency of quality, style and content
Work with the Communications team and other IDF departments to develop material for internal and external presentations
Work with the Communications team to develop and enhance the visual identity of IDF deliverables
Play a creative role and participate in the development and implementation of content marketing strategies
Work with the Communications team to identify new content opportunities and explore ways to repurpose existing content
Skills, competencies and experience
English mother tongue. Knowledge of French and/or Spanish would be a plus
Results driven, with a proven track record of delivering content at different stages of the user journey
Determined to become a content expert
Excellent writing and presentation skills
Excellent creative skills
Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise
A good knowledge of SEO
Able to persuade others to adopt your ideas
A strong team player
Excellent attention to detail
A minimum of three years’ experience in content marketing or a content role at a non-for-profit
Experience of managing online content
